How Greece (& Europe) is handling the green transition

Nikos Mantzaris participated in an interesting discussion on how Europe, and Greece specifically, have been handling the green transition during the Agora podcast by MacroPolis, hosted by Nick Nalkoutzis.

The basis for the discussion were three articles written by The Green Tank’s senior policy analyst and partner, along with MacroPolis features editor Georgia Nakou.

Among the topics discussed during the podcast were:

  • The new rise of gas in Greek electricity production
  • The provisions of the new NECP
  • Greece’s plan to become a green energy hub and the challenges it faces
  • The new Emissions Trading System for transport and buildings
  • The future of the European Green Deal

You can listen to the podcast here.

The aforementioned articles were published in English by MacroPolis, and in Greek by Inside Story. They were produced with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Athens as part of a climate journalism project.
