From April 2024, this analysis covers electricity production across the whole territory of Greece and is based on the latest available monthly data from the Independent Power Transmission Operator (IPTO) for the interconnected grid and from the Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator (HEDNO) for the non-interconnected islands.
For the period before April 2024, a comparative analysis of the trends in the electricity generation mix of the interconnected grid in Greece was carried out, based only on the data of the monthly reports by IPTO.
