Objective: The aim of SymATA was to strengthen and network 12 regional civil society organisations active in sustainable local development (Members Network), offering them an integrated framework of support in advocacy, internal organization and governance with emphasis on environmental protection, rural development and culture. One of the innovative elements of the project was that the Members’ Network is supported by six national bodies comprising the Initiative Team.
Our contribution: As a project partner, The Green Tank initially contributed to the mapping of the needs of the member organizations of SymATA, among which the need for networking and empowerment in terms of advocacy stood out. Based on this, the organization then contributed to the design and implementation of the empowerment programme, with a focus on advocacy issues, as well as to the development of the roadmap of thematic priorities for the future of SymATA.
