The Green Tank and the free press Together are launching a new partnership that brings the voice of youth in the lignite regions to the forefront.
The main purpose is to highlight the crucial role that young people can – and should – have in Just Transition, especially in decision-making and the use of available resources.
The central aim is to highlight opportunities and recommendations on how youth in Western Macedonia can overcome social and economic obstacles, face the challenges arising from the changing landscape of the local economy, and finally, shape their future.
Through reels, videos, discussions and other communication tools, we are shaping an open and inclusive space for dialogue, where thoughts, suggestions and ideas on the role of the young generation in the post-lignite era are exchanged.
We are looking for answers to questions such as “How do young people imagine their cities ten years from now?”, “What professions or business projects would interest them?”, “What do they need to stay and thrive in their place?”.
Representatives of local authorities, businesses, academia, the scientific community and civil society organizations will also participate in the dialogue, enriching the debate with ideas, experience and expertise.
We give young people a voice – We bring out their views.
We contribute to solutions for a just transition that leaves no one behind.
