The eleventh issue of The Green Tank’s newsletter has been published, covering developments over the past six months related to the Just Transition of lignite regions in Greece and across Europe (January–June 2026).
The newsletter presents key developments at both European and national level, updates from Greece and across Europe, as well as a special section dedicated to energy communities.
Among the issues in focus are the debate on the future of the Just Transition beyond 2027, developments in lignite regions in Greece and across Europe, and the slowdown in the growth of energy communities and self-generation in Greece. It also highlights The Green Tank’s advocacy for a stronger institutional and financial framework for the Just Transition, alongside its analyses and actions to promote energy democracy and strengthen citizens’ participation in the energy transition.
