Tassos Krommydas is a Senior Programme Officer at Global Water Partnership – Mediterranean (GWP-Med), based in Athens. Since 2016 he has been working on water policies in Mediterranean countries their interlinkages with other policies, financing mechanisms and governance processes towards Integrated Water Resources Management.

In 2013-2015 he worked as a consultant to the UN Environment – Mediterranean Action Plan on the integration of climate change considerations in Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) strategies and plans, where, among others, he led the development of the Regional Climate Change Adaptation Framework, endorsed by the Mediterranean countries in the context of the Barcelona Convention.

Earlier, Tassos had 10 years of experience on green policies and politics at the local (Special Counselor to the Mayor of Athens), national and EU (scientific assistant to a Green MEP) levels; on regulatory aspects of renewable energy support mechanisms and policies; and on leading an NGO campaign on climate.

He holds an MSc on Energy Economics & Policy (University of Surrey) and a Diploma of Electrical & Computer Engineering (National Technical University of Athens).
