In 2022, amidst the energy crisis, it was a playing field for fossil fuels and renewables in Greece. At the online event “Navigating the Just Transition: is coal really making a comeback?“, organized by the CEE Bankwatch network, Nikos Mantzaris presented the stakes and the outcome of this “battle”, drawing on The Green Tank’s analysis on fossil gas imports and consumption, as well as on trends in electricity production.
