Twenty environmental organizations in Greece, including The Green Tank, have co-signed a letter to the Greek Minister of Environment, Mr Skylakakis, asking him to vote “against” the change in wolf’s protection status in the EU Environment Council. The letter follows the efforts of more than 300 organizations from across Europe expressing their concerns about the proposal to modify the status of protection of the wolf within the EU.
The letter titled “Call to reject the EU’s proposal to reduce the wolf’s protection status at the Environment Council” was sent on February 22, 2024. It is available at this link (in Greek).
