The effective tackling of the climate crisis requires drastic policy changes. In view of the upcoming parliamentary elections on July 7th, 23 non-governmental organizations, actors from civil society as well as from the Social Solidarity Economy (SSE) are asking political parties for concrete commitments to tackle the climate crisis and strengthen the Social Solidarity Economy.
The questions concern the parties’ positions on issues related to phasing out lignite, oil and gas, environmental protection, the support of energy transition to renewable energy sources, the strengthening of Energy Communities and the Social Solidarity Economy in general through developing a modern and coherent institutional framework for all forms of cooperatives.
