Nikos Mantzaris spoke with the correspondent of Al Jazeera English in Athens John Psaropoulos about the energy price crisis that is currently affecting Greece, explaining that the root cause is its deep dependence on fossil fuels.
Analyzing the measures taken so far to protect households and businesses, he stressed the risk of perpetuating this huge subsidy on the use of fossil fuels at the expense of absolutely necessary energy savings, renewable energy, energy storage projects and of support for the Just Transition of Greece’s lignite regions.
