Comment by Nikos Mantzaris on the emissions reduction goal of Greece, as provided for in the draft Greek national climate law that is under public consultation, in an article by Eleni Varvitsioti in the Financial Times, presenting the main provisions of the law.

Specifically, Nikos Mantzaris stated that “Given Greece’s worse [than Germany’s] starting point on reducing greenhouse emissions, achieving a 55 per cent reduction by 2030 is certainly challenging but ambitious”.

The article was published in the Financial Times, on November 30, 2021, titled “Greece to curb coal use by 2028 as part of climate law”.
